welcome to the Fidena Festival 2026! We are Helene Ewert and Christofer Schmidt,
the new management team of Fidena. We have put together our first program with great curiosity and a love of experimentation. For us, it reflects the utopian power of art. Here, worlds are created in which we can try out different ways of thinking about how we live together. Real encounters take place here - beyond the couch, beyond algorithms, beyond isolation. Our program entertains and at the same time does not shy away from the political. Because theater can do both: bring joy and ask questions.
With 28 shows, workshops, discourse formats, parties and our festival center in the heart of Bochum, the festival offers countless opportunities to laugh, exchange ideas and be inspired.
