About the Impro Fest Bielefeld

A festival for improvised theater in Bielefeld at the Tor6 Theaterhaus - with international artists, workshops and a diverse show program at the highest level - that's the Impro Fest Bielefeld.

For 4 days, Bielefeld becomes the center of spontaneous theater - every evening unique theater evenings are created that inspire and touch.

The improvisational theater scene meets to work and celebrate together - over 100 improv enthusiasts travel from all over Germany and Europe.

In November 2025, the Impro Fest Bielefeld will enter its 5th round - created in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic as IFO - i.e. as Impro Fest Online - we have long since become an offline event and inspire the Bielefeld audience year after year.

What is improvisational theater anyway? The art form is just as diverse as all other forms of theater - the difference: all scenes, all characters, all stories are created in the moment. The audience can be inspired or simply enjoy the shows, because our professional artists will perform galactically well. We guarantee it!
