Founded in 1952, the Munich Radio Orchestra has developed into an ensemble with an impressively broad artistic repertoire over the course of its 70-year history. Thanks to its remarkable versatility, it has found a firm place in Munich's orchestral landscape.

The varied program includes concertante opera performances in the Sunday concerts, the Paradisi gloria series with sacred music of the 20th and 21st centuries, as well as exciting children's and youth concerts with accompanying activities. There are also entertaining theme evenings in the Wednesday concerts and performances of film music. Crossover projects and innovative events such as Space Night in Concert and Multiverse Symphony show that the orchestra always has its finger on the pulse of the times.
