Munich Self-Help Day 2026
On Saturday, July 4, 2026, the Munich Self-Help Day will once again take place on Marienplatz from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The colorful diversity of the self-help community will be on display that day with around 60 information booths, hands-on activities, and a varied stage program. The richness and diversity of the self-help community in Munich will be showcased in all its facets on this day.
- Get information and advice from many self-help activists who have become experts in their own fields.
- Whether you’re dealing with a rare disease or personal life issues, self-help groups offer a safe space to share experiences and find solutions together.
- Experience firsthand how many people support one another through self-help and advocate for those affected.
The Munich Self-Help Center is organizing Self-Help Day in collaboration with the Social Affairs Department of the City of Munich under the patronage of Mayor Dominik Krause.
Here are the day’s main program highlights:
- 10:30 a.m.: Opening and welcoming remarks by the organizers, the City of Munich and the Munich Self-Help Center
Live music with Charlie Segura and Camilo Angola—rhythms and music from Colombia - 11:00 a.m.: Tour of the Self-Help Day with representatives from politics and the press
- 11:30 a.m.: Quat Fata e.V.
Uyghur local history and dance - 12:15 p.m.: BFC e.V. Education Center for the Promotion of Chinese Language and Culture.
Chinese dance and fashion show from the Han and Tang dynasties - 12:45 p.m.: Kusikuna e.V.
Dance workshop for everyone—with Peruvian music - 1:30 p.m.: GRANDMAS AGAINST THE FAR RIGHT Munich
Singing and clarinet - 2:00 p.m.: “Munich Thanks You” Award Ceremony
Award from the City of Munich for civic engagement in self-help, presented by City Councilwoman Anne Hübner (SPD) - 3:00 p.m.: Liceo Hispanoamerica
Peruvian folk dance - 3:30 p.m.: End of the event
