QEK - Neighborhood development in micro & special areas
Within the framework of the state program Lebendige Quartiere (citizenship)
The conditions in the Bremen areas of Alwin-Lonke-Quartier, Bahnhofsvorstadt and Hünertshagen have a recognized need for improvement: the social data is conspicuously low. With the Bahnhofsvorstadt, a larger inner-city neighborhood is now also the focus of the Lebendige Quartiere funding program.
This takes into account the special conditions of smaller neighborhoods, in which social urban development measures are now also possible - in addition to funding programs such as WiN (Wohnen in Nachbarschaften), which are reserved for larger areas within Bremen.
The project will continue to initiate and experience changes depending on the local situation. To this end, the QEK team and the Social Urban Development Department of the Department of Social Affairs will coordinate regularly and closely.
