Founded in spring 2006, Stuttgart Valley Roller Derby (formerly Stuttgart Valley Rollergirlz) is the first roller derby club in Germany, making it one of the pioneers in Europe. In 2007, the first bout (competition) in European history was organized. Since then, they have played dozens of games across Europe. The club's history began with a notice looking for young women who wanted to try out a new full-contact sport on roller skates. The result is a roller derby department at MTV Stuttgart e.V., which includes newbies, advanced, juniors and officials.
