The "Christmas Oratorio in JAZZ", Stephan König's arrangement of Johann Sebastian Bach's Christmas Oratorio, has already enjoyed great success in Munich and Leipzig and sold out halls. Stephan König gives the well-known melodies a new sound with great attentiveness, respect and love for Bach, sometimes rhythmically, sometimes in harmonious jazz harmonies and sometimes with original accompaniment. The Iffeldorf KlangKunst Choir under the direction of Andrea Fessmann will perform the work again in 2025/26. It will be joined by outstanding soloists: soprano Anja Pöche, young tenor Johannes Mayer and jazz singers Anna Holzhauser and Maximilian Höcherl. The Stephan König JazzQuartet and the Mendelssohn Chamber Orchestra Leipzig will perform together without losing sight of the liturgical place of the original. Let us surprise you!
