The Center for Popular Music, or Zentrum Pop for short, is the institution for music promotion in Brandenburg in the field of popular music.

The focus is on offers for children and young people, offers for professionals as well as for specialists in music education and social work. The center, which is funded by the Ministry of Science, Research and Culture, offers needs-based services to qualify young talent, musicians, music teachers and music educators in the fields of digital music, audio-visual productions and digital music education practices. In addition, we offer instrumental and digital-oriented courses, nationwide music camps, seminars, bar camps, advisory services, events and spaces for the exchange and networking of stakeholders.

The Center for Popular Music was already able to implement its first measures to promote music with digital tools in 2017. It officially opened at the end of 2018. From 2018 to 2022, the headquarters of the Center for Popular Music was located in Potsdam's Lindenpark. At the end of 2022, we found and moved into excellent premises, also in Potsdam-Babelsberg. From this point on, we developed our very own identity and quickly established ourselves at the new location in Konsumhof 2 in Potsdam Babelsbeg.
