The Dresdner Kapellsolisten are known for their rousing, lively interpretations. Since 1994, the members of the ensemble have been united in their passion for a faithful reconstruction of the Baroque, Classical and Romantic musical heritage. Under the direction of co-founder and "primus inter pares" Helmut Branny, they bring the linguistic and gestural elements of the music to life in a lively sound. Beauty of sound and the search for musical truth go hand in hand.

The Dresdner Kapellsolisten are mainly made up of musicians from the Sächsische Staatskapelle, although the permanent core can be expanded to meet the demands of the repertoire. The ensemble is characterized by its profound and uncompromising exploration of musical intellectual worlds. This arises from the equal cooperation of all members. At the same time, each instrumentalist is challenged not only as an ensemble musician, but also as a soloist.
