Waking Up In Stereo

The Cologne-based electro-pop band "Waking Up in Stereo" has been on the road successfully since 2016 with two EPs, original music videos and a darkly romantic live aesthetic. Brothers Armen and Arin Gevorkaraghi started the project as a duo and were soon joined on stage by Florian Bonn (Soft Saints) and later by Leonhard Schüren on drums, who is now also a permanent member of the band.

Now "WUIS" are releasing their debut album "Eulogy of 23", a pitch-black song of praise to the past, present and future disguised as an obituary.

Dirty guitars, Rhodes and drums come across as nostalgic - but are naturally embedded in modern 808 basses, synths, samples and immense clouds of voices.

The emotional and stylistic spectrum ranges from sensual grooves that force you to dance to hymnal sacred seriousness. However, there is no question of arbitrariness here. Every song is clearly WUIS and serves the course of this dynamic story of time.

"Eulogy of 23" is not a playlist, but a narrative.
