Create small gifts with meaning:

In this winter workshop edition, you'll dye textiles with plant dyes - warming, beautiful and made by hand.

Choose your favorite projects: Hand warmers, socks, hats, cases, scarves and more.

Together we will work with natural dyes made from walnut shell, bluewood, cutch, avocado pits, onion skin and madder root.

All textiles are pre-treated (stained) by us so that the colors adhere permanently and develop their natural depth.

You dye on cotton and wool to create 2 small pieces that you can give as gifts.

The dyed pieces are washed and ironed in the studio after the workshop. You can pick them up on site a few days later - or have them sent to you by post for €6.50.

No previous knowledge necessary - just enjoy creating.

Duration & procedure

The workshop lasts around 1.5 hours.

After a short introduction to dyeing with plant dyes, you choose your projects and work independently in the studio.

In between, there will be time for conversation, tea and short breaks.

Participants

A maximum of 6 people per time slot - a small, quiet group for concentrated work and individual support.

The studio is part of the Machwerkhaus - with bathroom and quiet outdoor area.

Materials & clothing

All materials are prepared and included in the price.

Aprons are available on site, but we recommend clothing that can withstand small splashes of paint.
