Chris Carter was born in Brazil in 1965 to Italian immigrants. He studied forensic psychology in Michigan and worked as a criminal psychologist for the public prosecutor's office for six years. He then moved to Los Angeles, where he made a career as a musician. Chris Carter now lives as an author in London. His thrillers about profiler Robert Hunter are all bestsellers.

Wanja Mues, born in Hamburg in 1973, was already in front of the camera at the age of 13. He received his acting training in New York. In addition to his numerous television roles, he is also a successful audiobook narrator and has read novels by James Baldwin, Ian McEwan and Martin Suter, among others.
