SWE SPECIAL Open Air | Pascal Strehler: Rosé - Das Buch zum Wein - inkl. Weinprobe
In the organizer's words:
Book presentation incl. wine tasting
For a long time, rosé was not really taken seriously in this country: neither fish nor meat, neither red nor white. Initially merely a by-product of red wine production, rosé has gained in quality and importance worldwide in recent years. Today, it no longer just stands for a sophisticated jet-set lifestyle on the Côte d'Azur or cozy evenings with friends on the balcony, but for an independent, serious wine genre.
In his book, Pascal Strehler takes readers on a journey through the world of rosé. He talks about the origins of the wine, explains production methods and grape varieties and introduces important growing regions and wineries. With expertise, humor and passion, he describes the differences between the various rosé styles, dispels myths and gives practical tips on food pairing. This makes the book an informative and enjoyable companion for anyone who wants to better understand and rediscover rosé.
Incl. small but fine wine tasting. More information to follow.
A (hopefully) balmy summer evening with literature, conversation and wine bliss - in the open air on the summer stage of the Kultur: Haus Dacheröden.
Pascal Strehler works as a freelance journalist for Norddeutscher Rundfunk. In his spare time, he constantly reads up on wine knowledge and stores it in a cool, dry place. A few years ago, he trained as an assistant sommelier and regularly publishes interesting and bizarre articles on his wine blog Traubengucker.de. Despite his sparse vineyards, he has always remained loyal to his hometown of Hamburg, but loves to wander through the wine landscapes of Europe.
