4 Korean indie bands shake up the Berlin music scene

TOUCHED, Heymen, W24 and Kardi will present spectacular performances at the "2024 K-INDIE ON Festival", which will take place on June 27 at Gruenspan in Hamburg and on June 29 and 30 at Kesselhaus in Berlin.

The "K-INDIE ON" was launched last year by the Korean Cultural Center in Germany to introduce various genres, but especially Korean indie music that goes beyond the widely celebrated K-pop music. Following the global success of K-pop, K-INDIE represents a new wave that has the potential to build a fan base not only in Germany but also across Europe. This year's "2024 K-INDIE ON Festival" offers an even more extensive program than last year with four different bands and promises a varied and exciting show. In addition, the festival has now extended its reach beyond Berlin to Hamburg, where the opening performance of the "2024 K-INDIE ON Festival" will take place.

Hamburg is of historical significance, as it was here that the Beatles gave their first concert in Germany in 1960. By performing in the same place where the Beatles once stood, Korean indie bands want to inherit their spirit. The band that will open the first concert in Hamburg is TOUCHED. The other concerts, which will continue in Berlin, have prepared high-quality music and powerful performances with TOUCHED, Heyman, W24 and Kardi to introduce the charm of Korean indie bands.
