The Freiburger Lesbenfilmtage is Germany's oldest lesbian film festival and one of four festivals of its kind in Europe. International productions of lesbian cinema, including feature films, short films and documentaries, are screened over five festival days. The audience votes for the best film (in the categories feature film, documentary, short film) - the winning films are awarded the "Golden Tanna" and are endowed with 400 euros each. The program is rounded off with readings, Flinta* parties and discussions. Since 2017, further films and events have been presented as part of the "Herbstflimmern" program.
