Here, the reality of a young woman who is looking for her little slice of happiness and suffers many a defeat in the process becomes simultaneously bitterly evil, tragic and poetic. On her way through a Munich marked by the economic crisis in the summer of 1928, the unemployed young woman encounters various fates of the time, and with them the men. Despite many a shattered illusion, she always manages to get up again once she is down.

Pianist Max Greger junior provides the appropriate musical accompaniment to this unsentimental study of society, using the vibrant and sparkling melodies, harmonies and arrangements of the fast-paced 1920s and 1930s to conjure up the carefree and volatile zeitgeist just before the political storm.
