Musician Heike Gruber is one of the co-founders of the music workshop at cuba. She got to know samba music on numerous trips to Brazil, where she was taught by Dudu Tucci from Sao Paulo, among others. To mark the anniversary, Heike Gruber will be performing with musicians from her groups "bandidas" and "Canarinhos".

Rosa Latour et la Crème Brûlée
The band around the renowned singer and pianist Rosa Latour is based at the cuba music workshop. With her all-female band La Crème brûlée, she presents a multi-faceted program of subtle pop, chanson and jazz.

Circlesongs & vocal improv
with Hiltrud Allhoff
Circle singing is the simplest and most beautiful way to sing together without sheet music. Led by breathing, speech and voice teacher Hiltrud Allhof, who teaches at cuba, participants create rhythmic and harmonious timbres that increase in energy with repetition. Anyone interested is invited to join in.

8.15 PM, BLACK BOX
Anton Zimmermann - Bohbi
The young musician Anton Zimmermann rehearses and teaches at cuba. Under the stage name "bohbi", he has created a medium in which he constantly reinvents himself as a drummer, producer and songwriter in musical-lyrical play. The artist spans a musical spectrum from avant-garde to pop - and touches on folk and indie rock as well as hip-hop, singer-songwriter, jazz and electro.

9 P.M., IN FRONT OF THE CUBA
Light projection by
Roman Podeszwa
Audiovisual artist Roman Podeszwa focuses on digital and new technologies in his work. He explores virtual reality and AI as a critical, artistic practice. His projection will be beamed onto the historic exterior wall of the cuba: From 1992, the "anti-colonial" mural "The Conquest of Paradise" could be seen there. In 2021, the wall had to be whitewashed - on this special anniversary evening, it will shine again.

Bucks Bicycle
Drummer Philipp Buck - jazz curator of the cuba kultur division - will be pedaling his way through this unusual concert concept. He will perform his rhythmically complex pieces, which were originally intended for an imaginary rock band, together with his Cologne colleagues: Simon Below and Jan-Lukas Roßmüller.
