ABBAMANIA THE SHOW

It's time to celebrate again: "50 Years of Waterloo". In 2024, the biggest ABBA tribute show in the world will once again make the hearts of fans of the most successful pop group of all time beat faster. With brilliant musical performances, great voices and true-to-the-original costumes, ABBAMANIA THE SHOW has been thrilling audiences in German-speaking countries for almost two decades. On 21.04.2024, the great ABBAMANIA band will also make a stop at the LANXESS arena in Cologne. Tickets for the show are available from Friday, 14.04.2023, at all known advance booking offices.

It all began in Brighton in 1974: after Agnetha, Björn, Benny and Anni-Frid were eliminated in the preliminary round in 1973 with "Ring, Ring", they were not discouraged, competed again on April 6, 1974 and won first place in the Eurovision Song Contest with their single "Waterloo". With "Waterloo," ABBA offered the Eurovision audience something new: flashy costumes, a catchy uptempo sound and simple choreography. In addition, the band broke with the convention of singing in their own national language. The single landed in the top 10 of the charts in 21 countries. Even today after 50 years, "Waterloo" is one of their most successful singles in 54 countries and with over 5 million sales.

This must be celebrated: who better to do so than the biggest ABBA tribute band in the world? ABBAMANIA THE SHOW takes the audience on a journey back to the 70s and revives the legendary hits like "Mamma Mia", "Dancing Queen", "Lay All Your Love On Me" or "Super Trouper". Together with songs from the comeback album "ABBA Voyage", released in 2021, the mixture of old classics and fresh wind is perfect. Supported by powerful-voiced singers, the grandiose ABBAMANIA band and the sonorous symphonic rock orchestra, nothing stands in the way of the dazzling spectacle around "50 years of Waterloo".
