Acht Jahre Minna Thiel – das Jubiläumsfest

Eight years ago, an old MAN rail bus from the 1950s set off on its journey from Berlin to the heart of Maxvorstadt. Today it is known as Minna Thiel - our little green oasis in the Kunstareal. A place to linger, exchange ideas, marvel and celebrate. Readings, workshops, live music, DJ sets, a table tennis table, fun and games to borrow, a swap cell, a nostalgic photo booth for lasting memories - and of course refreshing drinks, hot or ice cold.

It's that time again: we're celebrating 8 years of Minna Thiel - 8 years of encounters, stories, music, summer nights and moments of the heart in the Kunstareal. And of course we have put together a very special program for you again this year!

Caitlin Dalton
With roots in Australia and the Ruhr region, Caitlin Dalton brings her powerful voice and a pinch of soul to our stage. Her songs are honest, fearless and full of emotional depth - she sings about self-doubt, female envy, loss and healing. Following her acclaimed debut "Entropy", her latest work "Hey Mrs. Therapist" is dedicated to retrospection and empowerment. Caitlin stands for pop with attitude - intense, direct and liberating.

dunghill
Four people, many instruments, two voices - that's dunghill. The musicians from the west of Munich tell stories of everyday life, dreams and adventures with guitar, cajon, double bass, mandolin, button accordion, banjo, mouth organ and more - sometimes sad, sometimes critical, poetic and with a pinch of humor. The songs are sung in English, Romanian, Spanish and German. The result: a wonderful mixture of folk, country, polka and ... mystical sound that lingers for a long time.
