ACUA

ACUA is a psych-pop/alternative band from Cologne, Germany.
“If you put your head under water, everything goes quiet and you can hear nothing but yourself.”

They have been active since 2018 and have built a remarkable international reputation, touring Canada from Toronto to Vancouver in 2022 and 2024, as well as performing at Canadian Music Week. Nominated as Germany’s “Outstanding Newcomer Artist,” they performed 12 shows in Japan in 2023, from Tokyo to Takamatsu. In addition to opening for FKJ, Japanese House, and Darwin Deez, they played over 50 shows in the lead-up to their debut album, including appearances at the Reeperbahn Festival and the c/o Pop Festival. They continued their journey with their second album, “IS THERE MORE PAST OR MORE FUTURE,” which was released on Papercup Records in 2022. This fall, they will release a new studio album, and the first single from it, titled “Now And Nothing,” has just been released, offering a taste of what’s to come.
