After Work - # Contact Improvisation

In the organizer's words:

The two dancers and choreographers Darwin Diaz and Marcela Ruiz Quintero are closely associated with the Ben J. Riepe team as rehearsal directors and workshop leaders. Both work throughout NRW as course leaders at various institutions (e.g. Schauspielhaus Düsseldorf, Folkwang University of the Arts, XX) and in choreographic collaboration with other artists (Ben J. Riepe, Stephanie Thiersch).

As after-work sessions, they organize several contact improvisations on Mondays at 5 pm:
Under the motto "Connected Flow", they bring together the feeling of individual physical autonomy with a perception of connectedness in the group, when sometimes in large groups, sometimes in one-on-one encounters, people react to each other's impulses. The workshop is open to young and old, to professionals of all artistic genres and dance-savvy amateurs alike and ends with a dance session based on the movement vocabulary developed.
