Aktionstag gegen antimuslimischen Rassismus

The action weeks against anti-Muslim racism in Heidelberg will kick off on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 with a day of action on the summer stage of the Karlstorbahnhof.

After a welcome by Mayor Stefanie Jansen, Berlin comedian and doctor Anissa Loucif will open the evening with excerpts from her current comedy program.

As an anesthesiologist, she knows how to put people to sleep - with her comedy, she manages to do the opposite. In her stories, she combines her experiences as a Muslim woman, doctor and young mother with everyday situations between hospital, postpartum and dating app. With pointed humor and a lot of self-irony, she tells of attributions, expectations and the attempt to find one's own way between different worlds.

Afterwards, Anissa Loucif will join Şaria-Merve Çeylan, Emna Labidi and Leyla Jagiellain in a panel discussion with female and intergenerational participants on Muslim women's experiences with racism, resilience and empowerment. In memory of Marwa El-Sherbini, the event honors the voices of Muslim women and makes visible how they create spaces for participation, strengthen solidarity and help shape social change despite existing challenges. In addition to Anissa Loucif, other strong and committed women from Heidelberg will speak on the panel. Different biographical and generational perspectives come together and open up new perspectives on the topic.

Aylin Baqak will accompany the evening with a musical contribution that traces the themes of the evening.

The action weeks are organized by Teilseiend e.V. - Muslim Academy Heidelberg in cooperation with the network group against anti-Muslim racism of the Round Table against Racism of the City of Heidelberg and funded by the Office for Equal Opportunities of the City of Heidelberg.
