ALEXANDER HACKE - KRACH LESUNG

In the organizer's words:

Noise - Distorted Memories
Reading by and with ALEXANDER HACKE (ex EINSTÜRZENDE NEUBAUTEN)
Admission 19:00, start 20:00
(partially seated)

Alexander Hacke is obsessed with classical music from an early age, but then prefers to drop out of school and hang out in the West Berlin underground scene between punks, squatters and life artists. After his first music projects under the pseudonym Alexander von Borsig, Hacke became a member of the recently founded Einstürzende Neubauten at the end of 1980. Einstürzende Neubauten became a groundbreaking and extremely successful band, while Hacke not only experimented with all kinds of stimulants, but also continued to develop musically: be it together with his partner Christiane F., as an internationally successful solo artist, as a guitarist on Gianna Nannini's album Dispetto, as a film composer for Fatih Akino or together with his wife, the artist Danielle de Picciotto, with whom he has been touring the world since 2010.

"Krach Reloaded" is a dazzling testimony to the wild West Berlin before the fall of the Berlin Wall, the story of the rise of the Einstürzende Neubauten and a rousing account of the life of a jack-of-all-trades all in one. For this revised and expanded new edition, Hacke adds the last 10 years to his memoirs, first published in 2015, and takes stock of his unique artist biography between avant-garde art, film music and modern nomadism.
Alexander Hacke's tour is made possible with the kind support of the wissensART Foundation.
