All My Sisters
In the organizer's words:
A film about women who are their own masters.
ALL MY SISTERS is an intimate portrait of women in Iran—not as political symbols, but as human beings with their own desires, contradictions, and dreams. Director Massoud Bakhshi observes their daily lives, their friendships, and their struggles for autonomy within a system that seeks to control their bodies.
There is no grand narrative here, no heroine’s arc. Instead, there are moments: a laugh shared between sisters, a decision with consequences, the gaze of a woman who knows she is being watched—and yet stands her ground.
Bakhshi films with an intimacy that is respectful without being pitying. The women in this film are not victims of a story. They are the story itself. And this story deserves to be heard.
A film that takes 78 minutes to show what the world overlooks.
