WIENXTRA Sunset Cinema: THE BREAKFAST CLUB (16-26J.)

Five students at an American high school have to stay after school in the library on Saturday. There, each of them is supposed to write an essay on the topic “Who am I?” The five couldn’t be more different: Cheerleader Claire is a spoiled brat, Andrew is a popular jock, Allison is a quiet emo, and the group also includes rebel John and nerd Brian. After some initial reservations, the group begins to open up and engage in deep conversations. By the end of the day, nothing—and no one—will be the same as before. 

John Hughes’ film has long since become a classic and a model for many other coming-of-age films. It also features a great soundtrack, including “Don’t You Forget About Me” by Simple Minds.
