Alois Senefelder, inventor of lithography

In 1796, Alois Senefelder invented lithography, the flat printing process on Solnhofen limestone, in Munich. After letterpress printing, this was the most important invention for the reproduction of images. Its significance for art, music (music printing) and land surveying was enormous.
On Tuesday, April 29, 6 p.m. in the Allotriakeller in the Künstlerhaus at Lenbachplatz 8, 80333 Munich.
