Hanna Kaminski'spaintings present an open, surreal and cartoonesque visual language. Overlapping layers of color give rise to new, unique forms. Always on the edge of the recognizable, the already seen, the figures elude any quick interpretation. For Hanna Kaminski (*1988), the medium of painting is a means of dissolving initial, motivic ideas and developing her own formal language. It is not the motif that tells the story, but the medium itself. Traces of overpainted layers tell of time and the process of her work.

Patrizia Kränzlein'sdrawings, a combination of graphite and linoleum paint on paper, are mostly reduced to black, white and gray values. During the production process, the paint is applied directly to the paper with a roller, so the roller functions as a drawing instrument. The works are developed from variable basic geometric forms and integrated segmentally into the picture surface. They show pictorial spaces that are configured by lines, surfaces, shading and depths. The artist (*1987) always seeks a path into the depths, with a demand for the valid, towards the essential.

Minh Dung Vu (*1995) sews delicately painted and specially dyed fabrics to the canvas, thus expanding the classical concept of painting. His fascination with a wide variety of fabrics and textiles and their mutability are the starting point for his works. Depending on its thickness and structure, fabric behaves differently and can be stretched and worked in different ways. Vu combines colors and shapes precisely and harmoniously in his works. Different light and shadow formations become visible, determined by the permeability and fragility of the fabric.

The spatial sculptures by Heike Weber (*1971) develop their own formal language through the way in which the connections are made, showing a complexity and three-dimensionality. They fit into the space with an unobtrusive lightness, forming a space of their own. By connecting individual arches, new objects with interior spaces are created. The sculptures grow into a new whole as they are worked on. Interior spaces are created by connecting arches, these become tangible and give the form a surrounding space and its own aura.
