Anti-Antifeminismus! – Von der Reaktion in die Aktion. Fair und solidarisch

In the organizer's words:

The last few decades have seemed progressive in many ways when it comes to women's rights and feminism. Together, feminism and trade unions fought for important rights in politics, society and the workplace.

Misogyny and anti-feminism are not new, but with their mass spread online and in public debate, we are in the midst of a rollback against feminist achievements: for example, through the so-called "manosphere", which targets very young men and children online to spread misogyny and misogynistic behavior. Radical right-wingers have stepped up the fight against feminism and queer people and are using their anti-feminism to influence broad sections and strata of our societies by exploiting insecurities and fears. This is undermining our democracy.

Democrats can oppose this. On this evening, we want to talk to Austrian right-wing extremism expert Natascha Strobl, among others, about how exactly anti-feminist positions are paving the way into the social mainstream, who benefits from this and who is particularly affected by it. Above all: How can we unite in solidarity and practical action against anti-feminism? How can we counter this with a better model of society and gain the strength to shape and defend it again and again?
