Árpád Forgó & Hanna Kaminski - Duo Show - Layers of Perception
In the organizer's words:
Duo Show -Layers of Perception
Árpád Forgó & Hanna Kaminski
Árpád Forgó is interested in experimental painting and in exploring how the interpretation of non-figurative painting can be expanded while preserving its painterly character and probing the boundary between painting and sculpture. Structure, form, dimensions, and rhythm, as well as two-dimensional and three-dimensional relationships, are at the center of his research. He explores the relationship between the singular and the multiple, the question of cardinality, unity, wholeness, and division—the whole and the part. He works primarily with traditional painting materials—paint, canvas, and wood—striving for industrial perfection without losing sight of the artisanal quality of the process.
Text by Miriam Schwarz (2024):
In her minimalist paintings, Hanna Kaminski brings to life how the interplay of color and form develops a vocabulary all its own. Layer by layer, she explores the tension between colors and forms, deciphers it, and playfully reassembles it into her own artistic alphabet.
