Arstidir - BLIK Tour 2023

In the organizer's words:

The indie-folk band Árstíðir goes on tour with their album "Blik" and is guest at Brotfabrik Frankfurt am Main.

The foundation of Árstíðir's music is the good chemistry between the three members Daníel, Gunnar and Ragnar and their shared passion for harmony vocals.

At the heart of the songs is pop music with captivating choruses, wrapped in elegant and sometimes surprising arrangements. While all songs on their last album Pendúll still had Icelandic lyrics, BLIK will be the band's first album sung entirely in English.

The band is not afraid to experiment and has collaborated with Ólafur Arnalds and Nils Frahm as well as recorded two albums together with other musicians*. One of them with Iceland's songwriting legend Magnús Þór Sigmundsson and the other with their former tour partner Anneke Van Giersbergen.

With plenty of time to experiment and explore new influences during the Corona pandemic, the band managed to reinvent their musical identity while keeping the essence of what fans love about their music: Harmony vocals and strings.
