ArtSchnitzel Festival 2026

From June 26 to July 3, ArtSchnitzel will transform the entire

city into a gallery!

From June 26 to July 3, 2026, art will be everywhere. ArtSchnitzel will hide over 75

original works of art by 9 female artists at various locations throughout the city every day.

Anyone who deciphers the clues and makes it to the hiding spot can take the artwork home

and can make a donation to the respective artist.

The festival is held under the patronage of Mayor Dominik Krause

Festival Dates at a Glance

Opening Reception: Friday, June 26, 2026, Studio 2, Kreativquartier Halle 6 (accessible), starting at 7:00 p.m.,

Dachauer Straße 112d, 80637 Munich

ArtSchnitzel Scavenger Hunt: Saturday, June 27 – Friday, July 3, 2026, daily throughout Munich

Surprise Concert: Thursday, July 2, 2026 (location to be announced; accessibility

please inquire; bands: Wail Raider and Joasinho)

Closing: Saturday, July 4, 2026, Kreativquartier Haus2

How ArtSchnitzel Works

Every day, up to ten works of art are hidden at different locations throughout Munich.

Clues to the hiding spots are posted on the website artschnitzel.de and on Instagram

(@art_schnitzel). The first person to find the correct location gets to keep the artwork.

In addition, one artwork is included in a lottery every day for all finders, with no entry barriers, which

which means everyone has a chance.

Each found artwork includes a clue to its market value—finders are

warmly invited to make a voluntary donation via Betterplace. The proceeds

will be passed directly on to the artists.

This year’s lineup brings together nine perspectives on contemporary art—from

leather objects (4) to body images (1), futures that can be

Musical Highlight: On July 2, 2026, we’re hosting a surprise concert featuring

Joasinho and Wail Ryder in the Isarauen. Cold Chiemsee beer and Spezi will be provided. We’ll

exact location will be announced in advance via our channels.

We want to make the 2026 festival as diverse and inclusive as possible. This year,

we’re expanding the program to include a surprise concert featuring the bands Wail Ryder and

Joasinho in the Isarauen—anyone who finds the clues can attend for free.
