Ásgeir comes back to Germany! In 2012 Ásgeir's acclaimed debut "Dýrð í dauðaþögn" was released and initially made him a legend in his home country Iceland. It became Iceland's fastest-selling domestic debut album, shattering all records and even eclipsing the sales figures of Björk and Sigur Ros - statistically, there's a copy in every tenth Icelandic household.In the past, Ásgeir, known for his silky-smooth falsetto vocals, has been compared to artists like Bon Iver, James Blake and Kings of Convenience. However, on his 2017 album "Afterglow," he perfected his own distinctive style. In early 2020, the Icelandic singer-songwriter released his album "Bury The Moon." The story Ásgeir tells with "Bury The Moon" (in the original Icelandic Sátt) begins with a broken heart and a retreat. His fourth album, "Time on My Hands," followed in October 2022. Songs like "Borderlines" or "Snowblind" prove that Asgeir gives even more space to the electronic elements here and even briefly puts you in a dancing mood with their poppy chorus.
