Guest engagements have taken her to the operas in Frankfurt, Zurich, Stuttgart, Wiesbaden, Nuremberg, Brno, Bern, Essen, Berlin and Mainz, among others.
Schaefer is in demand as a lieder, concert and oratorio singer. Here, too, her repertoire is wide-ranging and includes Bach's works, Handel's "Messiah", Mozart, Dvorak and Verdi Requiems, Rossini's "Petite Messe Sollenelle", Mendelssohn's "Elijah" and Mahler's works under conductors such as Pablo Carignani, Sylvain Cambreling, Toshiuki Kamioka, Eliahu Inbal, Christoph Spering and Stefan Szoltes.
She has performed in venues such as the Wuppertal Stadthalle, the Cologne, Berlin and Essen philharmonic halls, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, the Meistersingerhalle Nuremberg and the Rheingoldhalle Mainz.
