From historic city parks with their strictly defined parterres and old trees, to castle gardens embedded in the landscape by the sea, to experimental natural and educational landscapes in which biodiversity and contemporary design come together. Botanical collections, castle parks, urban green spaces and artists' gardens are combined in the exhibition to create a multi-layered panorama of Nordic garden culture.
Characteristic of these gardens is the play with light. The low sun shapes pergolas and rows of trees, reflects water surfaces and highlights blossoms like luminous accents.
