Art thrives on contradictions.
The paradox in art creates tensions and is open to surprises. A work of art does not necessarily claim to be beautiful, it can reflect contradictions in society. For example, it is quite disconcerting for the viewer to see a ruined building in the middle of such a peaceful landscape. But this contradiction can be thought-provoking and broaden the field of vision.
