Ausstellung "Sprache und Vielfalt ukrainischer Kunst"

The Cultural Affairs Office Presents Female Artists from Ukraine:

Exhibition “Language and Diversity in Ukrainian Art” (Opening Reception)

Nine female artists from Ukraine, who now live and work in Munich, are exhibiting in Neubiberg for the first time. Their works—created with acrylic or oil paints, as watercolors, calligraphy, and even in the form of tapestries—speak different languages in terms of style, technique, and expression. But what unites them is that each of these voices is shaped by life and experiences in Ukraine.

Nine individual life stories and artistic perspectives come together in the context of this exhibition to form something greater than the sum of the individual works: Viktoria Adkozalova, Nataliia Berezniak, Lidiia Goldbrunner, Hanna Halka, Uliana Karanko, Iryna Kozhyna, Oksana Prud, Elena Shifrina, and Nataliia Sudenko seek neither a common style nor a unified message. Some of the artists have completed academic studies or are trained graphic designers; many of them have exhibited regularly in their home country and in European nations and have sold their works to private collections in Europe, the Middle East, or the United States.

The exhibition at the Haus für Weiterbildung invites visitors to take a closer look and immerse themselves in a polyphonic chorus of contemporary Ukrainian art.
