In the organizer's words:
GEDOK was founded in Hamburg in 1926 by IDA DEHMEL, one of the most prominent women of the first half of the 20th century.
GEDOK is a community of women artists from a wide variety of disciplines and art patrons whose goal is to support and promote one another, but above all to bring the work and achievements of women artists to the public’s attention.
The Bonn regional group is one of the largest regional groups in Germany and was founded in 1952.
