The Viennese performance collective "God's Entertainment" has a penchant for putting its finger in the wound and doing so in a very poetic way. In the "Under the carpet" project, they get to the bottom of what is swept under the carpet in Germany and in Heidelberg. The special thing about it: first, a carpet is woven with the help of Heidelberg residents. Its threads and its structure of warp and weft threads are symbolic of societal associations.
In an exhibition, visitors can look under the previously woven carpet and thus directly to where everything that has been forgotten and repressed is gathered. A multimedia installation illustrates image and video material that was previously collected in Heidelberg and other places.
