Nordstadtsoul: Ten Years, Twelve Songs, a Thousand Stories

Nordstadtsoul is the first solo album by Dortmund-based singer-songwriter Hans Blücher, who—with his cap and guitar—has been making our world a little more melodious for a decade now. In addition to the best of Hans’s work from the past ten years, the album naturally also features new songs written specifically for this release. So set off on a musical journey—not just through time, but halfway around the globe. Through the alleys around Borsigplatz in northern Dortmund, along Copenhagen’s wide bike paths, all the way to the bombed-out streets of Mogadishu—because there are stories to tell from each of these places. Whether the stories deal with major themes like farewells and flight, intimate moments full of love and friendship, or simply the most beautiful triviality in the world—soccer—it doesn’t matter. Every story gets its moment in the spotlight and speaks to things that move, fascinate, and touch us.

All concerts are “pass-the-hat” concerts, which means YOU, as a guest, decide what amount you consider appropriate and put it in the hat. There are no rules—you alone decide. A little tip: Musicians create their works, rehearse, and make the trip to our venue! Musicians love the “spotlight,” and every contribution—just like you—is welcome! We accept cash or EC-Cash!
