The award-winning, internationally recognized illustrator Axel Scheffler has illustrated some of the most popular children's books. His books have been published in many languages and his work has been exhibited all over the world. With "Der Grüffelo" (written by Julia Donaldson), Axel Scheffler became one of the most successful picture book illustrators in the world. Last year, the Grüffelo celebrated its 25th birthday. When Axel Scheffler pays a visit to lit.kid.COLOGNE, his most famous book is of course a must! He reads the story of the Grüffelo and draws live. And that's not all: he has more great books in his luggage! On the Sehrsehrfern star we meet "Die Schnetts und die Schmoos". And with "Ponti Pento", the little donkey penguin, we go on an adventurous journey to Penguinland.
