bac - meine Stadt Tour 2027
In the organizer's words:
Sometimes all it takes is a street corner, a glance out the window, or a song at just the right moment, and suddenly the world is yours alone for three minutes. “Meine Stadt,” bac’s debut album and accompanying tour, capture exactly that feeling. Not just any place you might find on a map, but a city that takes shape in your mind when memory, longing, and the present briefly converge. Each song opens a different door: to nights that were too bright, to people who should have stayed, to moments that only grow in significance in hindsight. “Meine Stadt” is a tour about being on the move, but also about the rare joy of arriving somewhere. At least for a moment. And so, for his second tour, bac is now setting course for this one city—your city—to create and celebrate that moment.
By the time this feeling turned into a full-fledged project, however, bac had already come a long way. With “Rosaroter Tee,” he reached No. 33 on the German singles charts and made it into the Spotify Top 50 across the entire DACH region. This was followed by over 70 live shows, including his first headlining tour. The 21-year-old—born in Ethiopia and raised by his German adoptive parents in Villach—could have simply kept this momentum going. But bac didn’t just want to keep going—he wanted to find out what it sounds like when you don’t just think in terms of singles or an EP, but tackle a full-fledged album instead.
The first major inspiration for this came in the summer of 2025, at home in Villach. Without a plan, a brief, or any grand intention, bac recorded a song that sounded different from anything he’d done before. “There wasn’t much intention behind it. It was more like letting it all out,” he recalls. That idea later became the title track of “Meine Stadt” and thus the starting point for everything that followed. In December, a writing camp in Lüneburg followed, and at the end of February 2026, bac finally headed to Prague for five weeks. Prague wasn’t a coincidence. For this album, bac didn’t want to just keep working in his room in Villach, but he also didn’t want to go to Berlin, where he’d made music before and where the album would likely have felt different. In Prague, bac worked in a studio located in an abandoned sports stadium—surrounded by producers and songwriters from Berlin, Vienna, Leipzig, Cologne, and Prague, who traveled there for individual sessions and left their own mark on many of the songs. Enthic served as executive producer on the project.
On “Meine Stadt,” you can hear hip-hop drums, guitars, indie melodies, and beats that don’t try to be too polished. bac clearly comes from a rap background, but his horizons have long since broadened. For a long time, he wasn’t really into guitar music. Then British indie—the Arctic Monkeys, Blur, and Passion Pit—came along.
