In the organizer's words:
Palais Sommer Festival: Concerts I Free admission
Singer Songwriter Night | Lilou & Das Große Los (DE) | Marta Del Grandi (IT) | Jesper Munk (DE)
Lilou writes songs like snapshots - vivid, clear and with a delicate impact. Between flickering synthesizers and guitar lines, she creates German-language indie pop that captures the mood of the blue hour. Their music sounds like a night bus, the big city and the feeling of finding yourself again - between daydream and reality.
Das Große Los combines vintage character with charismatic stage presence. Where raw seventies band sound and delicate acoustic guitar meet, the band creates a concert experience that lasts.
Rolling Stone (4/5) about Marta Del Gandi: "Her unique mix of avant-pop, folk-rock and jazz moves between rebellious outbursts and tender flashbacks. The storytelling remains one thing above all: authentic"
Jesper Munk searches for musical truthfulness and stops taking himself too seriously. His songs deal with topics such as fame, depression, relationships, alienation, criticism of capitalism, but also love, escapism and hope. Together with his band The Cassette-Heads, Munk combines neo-soul, jazz, R'n'B, chanson, bluesy ballads and indie pop to create a warm, modern sound. His voice has never been better - touching, honest and full of soul.
