Bachelorkonzert Franzi Becker

The time has come! After years of studying and making music, Franzi Becker's bachelor concert is finally just around the corner! The passionate lead trumpeter wants to bring her studies in jazz/pop trumpet to a brilliant conclusion in the Artheater with a musical one-two punch. She has therefore decided to drum up two bands to take the audience on a journey through her musical career and celebrate her artistic influences.

The packed evening will kick off with the Girl Groove Big Band, which was formed especially for the occasion. And not without reason. From her musical beginnings in the school big band to various ensembles at the university and formations outside of academic circles, big band music runs like a thread through Franzi's life. It is therefore only fitting that her final concert also pays tribute to this part of her musical identity. Big band lovers can look forward to classic swing, expressive ballads and modern big band compositions.

Incidentally, the name Girl Groove Big Band says it all. In contrast to the mostly male-dominated big bands of the international jazz scene, only female musicians provide the swing and power that make up the big band sound. In this way, Franzi consciously sets an example for more visibility of women in jazz.

The air explodes in the second set. The dignified big band is replaced by the powerful combo Trumpet Queen & The Groove Machine. Here Franzi can pursue her greatest passion and play funk, soul and pop music as the lead trumpet in the horn section of a first-class band. With classics by Earth, Wind & Fire, Phil Collins and Whitney Houston as well as modern funk and pop à la Cory Wong and Olivia Dean, everyone gets their money's worth and can dance and shout along to their heart's content.
