Want to quickly tie-dye a beach towel before summer starts? Then this workshop at Kunstort in Cologne is just the thing for you.

You’ll learn the Japanese technique of shibori—one of the oldest and most beautiful methods of dyeing fabric.

You’ll fold, tie, or knot a beach towel and dip it in traditional indigo dye. The result is unique every time—and always one-of-a-kind.

Step by step, we’ll guide you through the technique and support you throughout the entire process.

The workshop is also suitable for beginners and anyone who just wants to get creative with their hands—no prior experience is required. Spots are limited to a maximum of 8 people.

Here’s what to expect:

• An introduction to the shibori technique

• You’ll tie-dye a large cotton beach towel

• Various folding techniques for different patterns

• Creative work in a studio atmosphere

Duration: approx. 2–2.5 hours.
All materials, a welcome drink (with or without alcohol), water, tea, coffee, and light snacks are included.

This workshop is also ideal as a creative activity for bachelorette parties, birthday celebrations, or private events. However, it is only available for booking during the summer months.
