Cologne is a green and tree-rich city. The diversity of species in our urban area is greater than in the many monoculture forests of the Eifel or the Bergisches Land. But can you identify an oak, elder or spruce with certainty?
Our tree and shrub expert, Andrea Durry, will take you on an exciting walk through Cologne's green belt. Here we will encounter numerous shrubs and trees and learn some stories about them. You will learn how our ancestors perceived trees and shrubs. You will be amazed at how you can still use both in everyday life today and what you can make yourself from trees and shrubs that is edible and healing.
