After his big band outing "Hive Mind" (2018), Benjamin Schäfer returns to the world of small groups with his 11th album. And how he does it! The unique line-up of his new quartet "Stone Flowers" unites three generations of exceptional musicians on their respective instruments. One is literally sucked into the fascinating sound world of the early 1970s. Schaefer's original compositions, based on natural phenomena and laws, add a timeless and organic quality to this sound world.
