Technically brilliant and musically mature - the German violin virtuoso Arabella Steinbacher with her "transparent silver tone" (Deutschlandradio) is one of the greats of her generation. "A confident and mature artist whose beauty of tone is overwhelming" - a critic once raved about the Munich-born violinist after a concert.
Arabella Steinbacher's international breakthrough came in 2004 with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France under Sir Neville Marriner in Paris. Her repertoire includes a wide range of works from different eras of music history. She has received numerous awards for her diverse CD recordings, including the coveted ECHO Klassik for best young artist and best concert recording. She is one of Germany's most distinguished violinists and has worked with leading orchestras worldwide and renowned conductors such as Herbert Blomstedt, Jakub Hrůša, Pietari Inkinen, Zubin Mehta, Andris Nelsons, Yannick Né-zet-Séguin and Kirill Petrenko.
