Besuch beim Schäfer - Naturführung für Erwachsene und Familien

In the organizer's words:

The heathland in the north of Munich was used as sheep pasture for centuries. Even today, traditional sheep herding is still characteristic of the north of Munich. A large herd roams the southern Fröttmaninger Heide in the summer months. We walk from the HeideHaus into the heath, where we meet the shepherd, who gives us an insight into his interesting everyday work and is available to answer our questions. Meanwhile, we can watch the animals grazing in peace.

Note: Please wear shoes suitable for the terrain and clothing suitable for the weather as well as sun/rain protection if necessary; the event takes place in all weather conditions - however, in the event of heavy thunderstorms, it must be canceled or ended earlier for safety reasons; depending on the current location of the sheep, a distance of up to 2 km (one way) may be covered.
