Summer Fun at Esslingen’s Merkelpark! ☀️ Summer is just around the corner—and we can’t wait to bring the beautiful, historic Merkelpark back to life! Look forward to a colorful series of events from mid-June through September! Instead of just one weekend, this year we’re celebrating summer flexibly and rain or shine, whenever the pop-up bar “fuenfbisneun” is open:

Starting July 12, the Feierabendkollektiv will be performing at Merkelpark every Sunday from 5–7 p.m. with the finest summer singer-songwriter concerts.

You can look forward to a diverse program in a relaxed park atmosphere.

Bex & Friedi Singht

When Friedi Singht isn’t on stage with her band KollektivKollektiv, she’s often performing solo or with a small ensemble. Her songs—ranging from exuberant and cheerful to sad and melancholic—always contain a glimmer of hope and a spark of optimism. They are sung stories from life: about coming home, moving on, saying goodbye, and being happy. Stories of butterflies at night, confetti in the washing machine, fallen trees, and springtime feelings.

Bex is a rapper from the Black Forest. In her songs, she shares her stories of searching, doubting, and finding her place; of the ups and downs of everyday life; and of her hopes for our society—somewhere between dystopia and utopia. And of how she personally copes with it all.
