Oli Donnerztag & Fitzroya | Feierabendkonzert: Ab in Onkel Oskars Garten
In the organizer's words:
Summer Fun at Esslingen’s Merkelpark! ☀️ Summer is just around the corner—and we can’t wait to bring the beautiful, historic Merkelpark back to life! Look forward to a colorful series of events from mid-June through September! Instead of just one weekend, this year we’re celebrating summer flexibly and rain or shine, whenever the pop-up bar “fuenfbisneun” is open:
Starting July 12, the Feierabendkollektiv will be performing at Merkelpark every Sunday from 5–7 p.m. with the finest summer singer-songwriter concerts. You can look forward to a diverse program in a relaxed park atmosphere.
This time:
Fitzroya
With his atmospheric blend of indie, folk, and experimental sounds, Fitzroya creates a sound that’s as intimate as it is haunting. His music combines poetic depth with cinematic breadth and invites you to let yourself drift—between melancholy, warmth, and surprising musical twists.
The concert will take place on the small stage next to the outdoor dining area in Merkelpark—surrounded by greenery, with lounge chairs, a summery vibe, and food and drinks available on-site. The events in this series are specifically designed to provide a space for independent, artisanal music and personal open-air concert experiences.
Oli Donnerztag:
Oli Donnerztag is a German-language singer-songwriter from Esslingen who places great importance on his lyrics. In his songs, he describes how multifaceted, fleeting, and intense life can be. Lyrics about beauty as well as life’s ups and downs, and stories that show there are always other points of view or narrative perspectives.
His sound? Diverse, gritty indie pop with plenty of acoustic guitar—honest, heartfelt, direct, and sometimes a little rough around the edges.
The show is at Villa Merkel: Pulverwiesen 25, 73728 Esslingen am Neckar
Free admission.
